A plan is only worth the person carrying it. Three things Sarah did before this campaign existed.
President of the Anti-Bullying Club.
She led the club whose entire job is making sure nobody gets left out—setting the agenda, running the meetings, and following through in between.
Garden City Middle School
The Attorney General’s Triple C Award.
New York State’s award for commitment, character, and courage. A school may put forward no more than two students a year. Sarah was one of them.

Entered the Slingshot Challenge.
A one-minute film proposing a real fix for an environmental problem, open to students 13 to 18 worldwide. Nobody assigned it to her. She entered.
